Whether you are a member of one Music City Networks fan club or many, the specially designed iPass allows an added bit of convenience to your time here. The iPass is, essentially, an online passport that retains your identity, making it easier for you to login to multiple MCN artists’ pages without having to repeat your personal information every five seconds.
The good news: No one is trying to sell you anything you don’t want. The iPass is designed to better personalize your experience with Music City Networks, to get you to the content, contests, merchandise and forums of your choice, and to make it easier for you to explore other pages on the network. More good news: If you are stocking up on your favorite artist’s merchandise, the iPass can hang on to your billing and shipping information for you as well. Fewer clicks, fewer headaches. Simply put, the iPass is about community, flexibility and access. It is your starting point for exploring everything old and new that Music City Networks and your favorite artists have to offer. |

Might be a nice post except for the fact I still have zero clue as to
1) How one would go about getting an ipass? When you sign up for access to a site on the MusicCityNetwork you create an iPass. If you are posting here or reading this, you already have an iPass. 2) What does it cost, if anything? - being told no one is trying to sell me something I might not want does not tell me if there is a cost. An iPass costs nothing in itself, however, certain artists may require a charge to gain full access to their sites. For example, your iPass will allow you to post on the MCN boards for free, as well as the Jamie O'Neal boards (once you affiliate your iPass to JamieOneal.com) - but you will have to pay an annual due to affiliate your iPass to the Sawyer Brown Fan Club or the Toby Keith Fan Club. 3) Why would anyone write web pages that required identifying oneself every five seconds? This is what we refer to as exaggeration - overstating a situation in order to drive home a point. Thank you for your questions and participation, windy, I hope we can better serve you and all of this will become clearer and better executed in the weeks to come. *red edits by Jon (boldart) * (note added by windy) Much better, thank you. I think most of us dense folks will now understand |

What do I do now? |

I am not sure if you logged in at the forum level or from Sawyer Brown's web site. If you logged into the forum from the forum login screen, try logging in on Sawyer Brown's web site
go to http://sawyerbrown.musiccitynetworks.com type the email address you used to regester into the Ipass login type in your password click the blue sign in then click on the menu item labeled FAN then on the right hand panel (frame) is a list of things one is MESSAGE BOARDS click on the words MESSAGE BOARDS in that panel (frame) as the sub menu item wasn't working for a while see if that works if not, email Kortney click on the forum menu item at the top labeled MusicCityNetworks look at the bottom of the page click on Moderating team under > Forum Moderators click on the PM (private message) for Kortney I got to get back to work but I'll check in a few hours to see if that helped you |

I was logged on originally thru the SawyerBrown site. THis is a copy of the error that I got: Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. The error returned was: Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so by returning to the homepage (Click here to return to the homepage) I will also email Kortney. Barbara |

Wild thought
do you have cookies enabled ? are you using Internet Explorer? are you using Netscape (AOL connection?) I'm running windows server 2003 and windows XP professional with high security settings. I had to download Firefox http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox in order to use anything on this web site. Internet Explorer would not deal with the menus nor would the forums function If you are using Internet Explorer and running XP click on tools select internet options from the tools menu select security tab click the trusted site icon (a green circle with a white check mark in it) click on the button labeled sites .... just under the row of icons and to the right of a second green circle with the white check mark there are three white boxes one narrow one wide and one tiny check box below the other two Uncheck the check box labeled Require Server Verification (https:) for all sites in the zone then go up to the top narrow white box and type in http://sawyerbrown.musiccitynetworks.com click the add button that is to the right of that box click the close button on the bottom right of that large tab click on the tab labeled privacy click on the tab labeled edit on the bottom right look in the managed web sites box for musiccitynetworks.com make sure it is not always block if it is highlight it and click remove go to the top narrow box and type in musiccitynetworks.com click the allow button on the right of the narrow white strip click okay might do one more thing while you're on that tab click the advaned button make sure all cookies are not on block not accepting cookies might freak out their software |

I am using IE with window 2000 professional
I went thru the steps you outlined, then logged out and went back in only couldn't get into any of the other sites except this two threads. Do I need to create another password perhaps, or will this one work for all clubs? I can tell that this site is still in the birthing stage, right? Barbara |

Yes. They are still putting it together.
I have an email at home that actually works. I know that because I got an answer to a message I sent to it. I won't get home until around 9:30 pm tonight. I did send a PM (Private Message) to Kortney, but unless she logs into the board she won't see it. I'll email her when I get home. So, we've eliminated cookies not being set and permissions being denied by your system. We are down to what seems to be a permissions / verification problem in that the main software is not talking to the Invision software to pass permissions along in the manner expected. so let's think The software on the main web site gets your permissions when you log in. Normally it writes them to a cookie so that when you go to a forum that software can read the cookie and see what your permissions are. Another wild thought If all else fails try deleting all cookies to be sure an old cookie isn't hanging around from before you authenticated. Probably won't help but it might back to the tools menu internet options on the general tab in the middle is delete cookies click it - go back to Sawyer Brown web site log in try coming back to the forum I have been assuming that you are a member of the Sawyer Brown fan club. That is required for your Ipass to give you access to the forums. If you're not a member, that is the problem. However, I am pretty sure you are and that this is another not so fun software blow up. I'm full of random wild thoughts most of which are useless ...... However, don't give up. It'll get solved real soon now. Yes. They are still putting it together. |

One more random thought
look at the top of this page in the left hand corner does it say logged in as: (your name) or does it say logged in as: guest if it says guest log into the forum on the right side of the page using your ipass login and password |

Join the club. I am so glad I'm not the only one totally baffeled.
If you are a member of Toby's fan club, just type in the email address that the Toby Keith fan club emails that you are sent go to type in the password you used to log in with your Toby Keith handle That should do it. If not email support@tobykeith.com After you join one fan club, any other fan club you join, that is run by music city networks, will use the same email address and password to log in. Thus when you log in at any artist site, you gain access to all the special material on all the other artists' sites without logging in again. Still clear as mud? Someone who works here should be able to explain it better. |

It is your email. What your password is only you know.
The email is the one they have on file. The account will send the activation email to the email address you use to log on. Hopefully it is still a valid email. If not, email Kortney support@tobykeith.com I know that email works |

OK, this might be a dumb question, but how do we find out which other artists are on Music City Networks? Obviously I know Toby and Sawyer Brown are from the previous posts, but who else?

one way is to let your session time out - then you see all the forums but they are all "locked" you can't enter any of them
the other way is to email support@tobykeith.com or whichever fan club you belong to and ask. a third way is to go to http://www.musiccitynetworks.com/ and look at the list of their customers |

I was going to try changing the email on Kolya's account but they seemed to have killed the account. Odd because I doubt she's been on-line in weeks.
so you'll have to email support. usually support@(name of artist).com footnote: After bugging Kortney as to why the account disappeared, she discovered that the account was alive and well and my mental recall had disappeared. I had changed the accounts email - thus changing its login- a number of months ago when there was general problems with music city networks mail server getting blacklisted. I totally forgot. Proof that senility has set in ........ or I can blame it on being down wind from Santa Cruz |
